The first issue takes us on a journey to Chungking Mansions, a dilapidated 17-storey commercial and residential structure in the heart of HK. Our magazine is inspired by Chungking’s architectural structures: starting from its surroundings, and then continue towards its inside; you can stroll around the floors, or take the lift to reach directly your favourite place. We try to find an original visual stimulus to highlight the special atmosphere of the place. Its content is as broad and inclusive as Chungking is: anthropological articles, online reviews, documentary photography, Instagram food porn, holy objects, histories of people living there…
